How the price is agreed
On the phone you get a range, not a single number, because we cannot see your lock. The person answering will tell you what decides where in the range your job falls, usually the type of lock and whether it can be opened without damage.
At your door, before anything is touched, the locksmith looks at the lock and shows you the exact figure on their phone. You tap to agree. That is the price you pay. If you would rather not go ahead, you owe nothing and we leave.
If, once the lock is open, you want something extra done, a second lock or an upgraded cylinder, it is priced and agreed the same way before that work starts. Nothing gets added to the bill after the event.
What we do not charge for
The journey. Looking at the job. Parking or the congestion charge. A lock we could not open. Paying by card.

Why is it 'from' and not a fixed price?
Because we can't see the lock from the phone. Lockouts start from £40 and locks from £30. The technician checks the door on site and confirms the final price with you before he starts.
Will you have to drill my lock?
Only the technician can tell, once he is at the door. He tries to open it without damage first. If it has to be drilled and replaced, he tells you the price before he does it.
Is there a call-out fee?
No. If we cannot open your door or fix your lock, there is nothing to pay, not for the journey and not for looking.
How fast can someone get to me?
Usually 10–15 minutes. Call with your postcode; you get the exact time once a locksmith accepts your job, and it depends on location and traffic.
When do I find out the final price?
When the technician has looked at the lock, on site, before any work starts. You decide then.
