What happens when you call

Keys inside, keys lost, or a door that pulled shut behind you: it is the job we do most, and in most cases the door opens without damage. A Yale-type nightlatch can usually be slipped in a couple of minutes. A euro cylinder on a uPVC or composite door often opens with picks. Only when a lock genuinely cannot be opened do we drill it, and we tell you before we do.

Tell Alisha your postcode and what kind of door you have. You can ask for a colleague to review a price question before booking. A locksmith is usually with you in 10–15 minutes; you get the exact time once he accepts the job. He confirms the final price on site before starting.

Locked out, answered

Will you damage my door?

We try to open it without damage first, and most doors open that way. Drilling is the last resort, we tell you before we do it, and it is priced separately so you can see what you are paying for.

I'm locked out of a block of flats, not just my own door.

Tell us on the call. Communal doors and your own front door are different jobs, and if the freeholder controls the communal lock we will say so rather than touch it.

It's 3am. Is anyone actually available?

Call and you will get a straight answer. Outside our published hours the phone forwards to the locksmith on duty, and if nobody can reach you quickly we say so instead of leaving you waiting.

Can I pay by card?

Yes, at the door on the locksmith's phone, with the receipt emailed to you. There is no surcharge for paying by card.
